RICHLANDS, Va. (AP) — A group of Tazewell County soldiers is returning home from Afghanistan just in time for Thanksgiving.

A dozen members of the Virginia National Guard's 1033rd Engineer Support Company in Richlands returned to Bristol over the weekend.

Richlands Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ginger Branton says more members of the unit are scheduled to arrive Thursday in Richlands. The rest of the unit should arrive home before Thanksgiving.

The soldiers have been in Afghanistan since last November.
