FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) — Nearly 90 new Green Berets will graduate, and a member of the 101st Airborne Division's Band of Brothers will be honored by the Special Forces community.
The new Green Berets will graduate Friday during a ceremony in Fayetteville. They are the 248th graduating class and will join the five active duty and two National Guard Special Forces groups.
Before the graduation ceremony, retired Command Sgt. Maj. Ralph G. King will be honored as "Distinguished Members of the Regiment." King joined the Special Forces in 1952, becoming one of the original Special Forces soldiers.
