100+ sailors coming home from duty overseas

VIRGINIA BEACH – Monday is homecoming day for more than 100 sailors who've been deployed overseas.

They served in various Middle Eastern locations to provide Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, point defense, medical, Counter-Insurgency, Civil Affairs and other ancillary roles in support of the U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Central Command areas of responsibility, contributing to the safety and security of personnel and vital war-fighting logistics and capabilities crucial to national defense strategy.

Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center provides support to Navy IA and Ad-Hoc units employed in or in support of Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO).
