Raptors to conduct night flying training next week
12:21 PM EDT on Friday, June 15, 2007
Every night next week, jets from Langley's 1st Fighter Wing will be flying high over the Peninsula for training.
The F-22A Raptors will take to the sky from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. from June 18-21.
Langley officials say the missions are needed so pilots to complete required training and maintain proficiency levels with certain tasks, such as Night Vision Goggle flying.
