A Hampton man missing for more than a month and found dead Monday night
apparently committed suicide, police reported Tuesday afternoon.
But it's unclear when he shot himself in the head, police added.
The body of 50-year-old Leon Theodore Graves, Jr. was discovered about
9:00 p.m. Monday in a truck parked at the Hampton Wal-Mart off Mercury
Blvd. A gun was in his possession, according to authorities.
He’d been missing from his Springdale Way home since December 7, 2004.
Police said the assistant manager saw the pick-up in the parking lot
earlier in the day and went to check it when it was still there that
night.
Other employees told 13News the truck had been there for days.
Police also reviewed surveillance camera videos.
