HAMPTON -- A parent says a school custodian who was recently charged with sexually assaulting a student at a Hampton elementary school, also kissed her young daughter.
Jerome Jenkins, 56, of Hampton was charged with aggravated sexual assault involving a child after her allegedly assaulted a girl at Forrest Elementary School.
Shannon Gray told 13 News Now, Jenkins kissed her daughter on the cheek about a year ago.
"She told me Mr. Jenkins was helping her with her tray and gave her a kiss on her cheek. I wouldn't expect any man in the school system to give my daughter a kiss on the cheek," explained Gray.
Gray says she told the principal about the kiss the next day but nothing happened.
Gray says she had another meeting with the principal Tuesday, following Jenkins arrest, and was given a form to fill out and the names of school officials to contact.
