HAMPTON --  Residents say they are thankful to be alive after a man crashed into their home.

Police say 29-year-old Ramon Crenshaw of Hampton was driving his 2013 Kia Optima in the 600 block of Grimes Road around 2:30 p.m. when he lost control and hit two single family homes.

Neither the driver nor anyone in the homes was injured.

Police say one of the homes had to be condemned.

Crenshaw was charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.
