NORFOLK -- Wednesday night's snow was washed away by the rain and just a few places still had some snow on the ground Thursday.
We're not out of the woods yet. Isolated to scattered showers are likely throughout Thursday and there will be some breaks in the rain. As colder air moves in by late afternoon and evening, some of those showers may mix with or change over to snow. There could be some minor additional accumulation.
Areas prone to tidal flooding could see problems, especially around high tides. The evening high tide at 8:22 p.m. should 1' to 1.5' above normal, which was about five inches lower than this morning's high tide..
Friday will be warmer with highs in the upper 40s. We could see some more showers and maybe even a mix early Saturday with another cold front which will drop temperatures for the weekend.
