VIRGINIA BEACH - City leaders are looking for input from the residents about funding the upcoming budget.

An online forum called Virtual Town Hall allows citizens to discuss budget issues to help guide the city's discussions.

On the virtual town hall Website, residents get $500 in virtual money and decide where best to spend it. The results will be sent to City Council and the city manager as they wrestle with the budget.

The Virtual Town Hall closes on March 1.

Officials say the city and schools face a projected $46 million shortfall.

The final budget will be approved May 14.
