VIRGINIA BEACH -- A case of road rage becomes physical in Virginia Beach.

Police say two women were in an all-out brawl in the middle of the intersection at Independence Boulevard and Bonney Road Thursday night.

It all started after police say one of the drivers side-swiped the other near the intersection.

Witnesses tell 13News Now one of the women got out of her car and started punching the other driver.

Officials say one of the driver's drove away after the fight, and the other driver was taken to the hospital.

"It's kind of surprising," said Sara Jones, a neighbor who heard the fight. "There was yelling because I could hear it from my window, it's sad."

The assault is still under investigation.

Police are still looking for the driver who allegedly left the scene. Officials say she faces a hit-and-run charge.
