VIRGINIA BEACH--Police say a lone gunman robbed a credit union Wednesday afternoon.

Police received a call at 12:20 p.m. for a bank robbery at the Chartway Federal Credit Union at 304 Kellam Road.  According to police,  a lone masked suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the tellers. 

The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.  Hew was last seen running westbound across Kellam Road. 

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’3" to 5’5" tall, medium build, wearing a black mask, a black thigh length coat, black pants and black shoes.
