VIDEO: Red Cross helps family of four following Newport News house fire

NEWPORT NEWS -- The Red Cross is helping a family of four following a house fire in Newport News Friday.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Robert Craft Jr., crews were dispatched to the 800 block of 79th Street around noon. 

It took about 10 minutes to have the fire under control, Craft said.

Nobody was injured.  The Red Cross is assisting one adult and three children. 

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
