NORFOLK–Military Highway in Norfolk is a busy area and often becomes a bottleneck for drivers.
The City of Norfolk and the Virginia Department of Transportation are working together to try to make it better. They want to hear from you what you think could help the situation at tonight's public meeting.
The Military Highway Continuous Flow Intersection Project calls for a high-volume intersection design that improves traffic flow by moving left turning vehicles away from the main intersection, VDOT said.
Thursday's meeting specifically looks at the preferred alternative for the middle section of the project - from Broad Creek to the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks.
It's part of a bigger plan to widen Military Highway.
A public hearing on the proposal will be held this summer.
If you weren't able to go to the meeting, you can email or mail your opinion to VDOT through January 19.
