NORFOLK -- A man who Baltimore City Police Department called “Public Enemy Number One” was arrested in Virginia Beach Thursday.
U.S. Marshal Robert W. Mathieson said Christopher Troy Goode was wanted on charges of attempted murder and domestic violence for a stabbing that happened in south Baltimore on September 12.
Goode is accused of stabbing the mother of his children 10 times and gutting her with a knife. Goode was also wanted in connection with an incident in the state of Ohio.
Mathieson said Goode was staying at an Oceanfront hotel. He says Goode attempted to escape on foot Thursday morning, ran through the pool area of the Sandpiper Inn, climbed over a fence, and continued in a full sprint down the road. The deputies and detectives pursued Goode and captured him shortly thereafter.
Goode is currently awaiting extradition back to Baltimore.
