PORTSMOUTH -- Two Chanello's Pizza delivery drivers have been robbed in Portsmouth within the last ten days, officials told 13News Now Wednesday.
The first robbery occurred Sunday, March 23 at 1 a.m. while the driver was making a delivery in the 1400 block of Highland Avenue.
The driver says one suspect grabbed him while another went through his pockets and stole money and personal items.
The driver was not hurt during the incident.
The suspects are described as black males in their 20s and about 5 feet ten inches tall. One was wearing a red hoodie and the other suspect was wearing a black hoodie.
A second robbery occurred nine days later on April 1 around 12:30 a.m.
According to police, a light-skinned black man was standing on a porch in the 2300 block of Parker Avenue, where the driver was making a delivery. As the driver approached the home, a dark-skinned black man came toward him and tried to tackle him. Police say the suspect on the porch then got out a hand gun.
Police say the two men took cash and personal items from the driver. He was not hurt during the incident.
Both suspects are about 19 to 25 years old. The first suspect is about five feet nine inches tall. The dark-skinned black male is about five feet seven inches tall.
