12/23 UPDATE: Police say the investigation has determined John Raymond Norman and Adam Priesler died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Both deaths have been ruled accidental, said Major Greg Riley.
WILLIAMSBURG-- Police say two men were found dead in an apartment complex within 24 hours of each other.
They lived in second-floor apartments in the 100 block of Second Street; an upholstery shop operates downstairs.
Their bodies were found August 11 and August 12.
According Major Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department, the cases are being investigated as accidental deaths, possibly caused by a generator running in the building during the time the men are believed to have died.
The first man, John Norman, was found dead around 4:06 p.m. Sunday. Police found a 49-year-old slumped over on his couch.
The second man, 41-year-old Adam Priesler, was found around 10:15 a.m. Monday in his bathroom.
Riley said the Medical Examiner will conduct toxicology tests and it could be up to two months to get results back.
The other in the building were inspected and determined to be safe, but people living in them decided to leave for the time being.
