VIRGINIA BEACH -- Two construction workers were transported to the hospital after a construction accident in Town Center Monday afternoon.

Spokeswoman Amy Valdez said a beam fell 12 feet in the 4800 block of Columbus Street, knocking two workers to the ground.

One worker fell out of a hydraulic cherry picker and another was standing on concrete when he was hit by the beam.

Both workers seem to have suffered minor injuries.
