NORFOLK -- Someone cut the fence and then cut into a Habitat for Humanity to steal tools.

The fence has a gaping hole where the suspects got in to the South Hampton Roads office at 900 Tidewater Drive.

An employee showed up at the buliding on Wednesday morning and knew something was wrong.

All the tools have Habitat for Humanity marked on them.

"The time and money that it will cost us to replace these tools will certainly slow the production of our current homes and will delay us getting the families into their homes," said spokeswoman Sheila Bogott.

While police are investigating the larceny, Habitat is appealing for donations of extra inventory or tools they have on hand.  If you can help, call Habitat for Humanity at 757-640-0590.

Norfolk Police are investigating. If you know anything about the case, call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
