VIRGINIA BEACH -- Three people, including one child, were treated and released after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday evening.
Everyone was wearing their seatbelts, police said.
The crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. at Old Force Road and Presidential Blvd. A white car and an SUV collided, causing the SUV to flip several times before coming to a rest on its side.
"The sound of it was horrible. You could tell it was bad," said Jim Sottile, who was just half a block away at the time of the crash.
After the crash, a fire broke out, making things even more dangerous.
Police say the driver of the car was at fault and the driver was issued a summons for disregarding a stop sign.
Neighbors say it was just a matter of time before an accident like this was bound to happen.
13News viewer Jon Sey was driving through the neighborhood when he came across the crash. He took photographs of the scene after stopping to see if anyone needed help.
