HAMPTON -- "Kind of heard a big gush, like, the house shake," recalled Joanne Jones, "but I was like, 'Oh, what are the odds of, you know, there being an accident or something falling?'"
Right after the gush, Jones heard her stepfather yelling inside their home on Mohawk Road. Jones ran to the garage where she saw her mother and her mother's friend pinned by a pick-up truck. The driver of the truck was Jones' brother.
"He had come home from work and ran over to Rite Aid and, then, I guess on the way home, I heard him when speaking to the paramedics, that the last he remembers is turning in from Fox Hill and, then, the next thing you know he was in the garage," Jones told 13News Now.
Jones' mother and brother, as well as her mother's friend, went to the hospital. None of their injuries were serious.
The incident is under investigation.
