CHESAPEAKE -- Police are seeking three people suspected of using stolen checks at area stores.
According to Chesapeake police, someone broke into a home on Canal Drive between Sept. 11 and Nov. 22, while the resident was overseas for the U.S. Navy.
Police say electronics, jewelry, credit cards and bank checks were stolen in the robbery.
On Nov. 21, surveillance cameras showed three people at the Kroger on Providence Road in Virginia Beach using the stolen checks.
Police say the three suspects purchased over $300 in groceries.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect #1: Black female, 35-45 y/o, gray hooded sweatshirt, yellow shirt, black pants.
Suspect #2: Black male, 40-50 y/o, blue jacket, black shirt, dark pants
Suspect #3: Black female, 40-50 y/o, tan jacket, yellow shirt, black pants, obese, in a motorized shopping cart
