MANTEO -- Three people were arrested in Dare County on drug charges after police received a number of citizen complaints.
Arrested on Oct. 25 were 20-year-old Juwan Cassidy, 34-year-old Torrie Pugh and 53-year-old Kimberly Simerly.
Torrie and Juwan Pugh are both charged with possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine and conspire to sell or deliver cocaine. Both are in the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond.
Simerly is charged with conspire to deliver cocaine and is being held in the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $20,000 bond.
Officials say the Dare County Narcotics Task Force netted a quantity of cocaine and marijuana during their operation.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
Sheriff J.D. Doughtie said he was proud of the work by his task force.
“We also appreciate the support from the citizens of Dare County as we work to stop the flow of narcotics into our neighborhoods,” Doughtie said.
