SUFFOLK -- The Suffolk Municipal Building was evacuated around 3:30 p.m. Friday because of a gas leak.

The building is located at 441 Market Street.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and crews from Virginia Natural Gas are en route.

The building will remain closed Friday.

The municipal building was also evacuated back in June when a contractor hit a gas line.
