Suffolk homicide suspect arrested in Elizabeth City

Michael Jamil Eason, 29, was arrested at Hickory Village Trailer Court around 9 p.m. on a fugitive warrant for first degree murder, attempted robbery and use of a firearm in a felony.

ELIZABETH CITY -- Police arrested a Suffolk homicide suspect in an Elizabeth City mobile home park Tuesday.

Michael Jamil Eason, 28, was arrested at Hickory Village Trailer Court around 9 p.m. on a fugitive warrant for first degree murder, attempted robbery and use of a firearm in a felony.

The charges are in connection with the 2012 murder of 27-year-old William Kendale Jordan.

Also arrested was Eason's girlfriend, 33-year-old Christy Lynn Caro.  She was wanted for conspiracy to traffic opiates in Perquimans and Gates County.

Eason is in Albemarle District Jail under a $750,000 secured bond awaiting an extradition hearing.

Caro was placed under a $25,000 secured bond awaiting a March 6 appearance in Pasquotank County District Court.
