NORFOLK---Toll talks are back, this time with an even bigger impact.
State legislators are discussing adding tolls on Interstate 64 between Richmond and Hampton.
The area could see tolls of more than $11 to pay for road widening on the Interstate.
Like toll opponents at the new Midtown tunnel, many Hampton Roads drivers want the state to take on more of the financial burden on I-64.
"I don't like the idea of tolls," said Norfolk driver Roque Planas. "That's why we have a state government, to plan and help with the transportation system."
There will be three public hearings on the tolls. The first will take place on Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. in the Newport News City Center Conference Room.
