FORT MONROE -- Virginia State Police responded to more than 350 calls by Wednesday morning due to slick and snow-covered roads.

According to Sergeant M. Anaya, State Police, along with VDOT, have been working around the clock to ensure roadways are clear and safe.

"Be mindful of emergency personnel who are at accident scenes and helping disabled vehicles. Slow down and change lanes as to avoid further risk," Sgt. Anaya said. 

Here are the number of calls in our area from noon on January 28 until 7:30 a.m. Wednesday:

366 total calls dispatched
243 total calls received

7 personal injury accidents
110 property damage only accidents
1 state owned accident
153 disabled vehicles
1 hazardous/debris in roadway

Anaya says there are currently no significant weather-related road closures.
