VIRGINIA BEACH -- The Tommy V Challenge is meant to help those who suffer most, the families of our Fallen and our wounded teammates.

The skeet and golf tournament will take place Friday and Saturday, respectively, at NAS Oceana.

The first challenge was held six months after SOCS Thomas John Valentine died in 2008 during training in Arizona. He served 18-1/2 years as a US Navy SEAL.

To date, organizers say they've raised over $200,000. The money has been donated to the Navy SEAL Foundation, Wounded Wear, and Carry The Load and surviving children of fallen SEALs.
