Shots fired on Colley Avenue
NORFOLK -- Around 2:30AM Tuesday morning, gunshots were heard along Colley Avenue in Norfolk's Ghent neighborhood.
The shots hit the Starbucks on the corner of Baldwin Avenue and Colley Avenue, leaving gaping holes in the plate glass windows.
No one was inside the Starbucks at the time.
Some employees of the Colley Cantina next door were cleaning up when they heard the shots.
"We were just finishing up cleaning up the restaurant, all of the sudden I heard pow, pow, pow, pow, and I said everybody get down," said Billy Baggs of Colley Cantina.
Baggs and a couple of other employees were just minutes from leaving for the night.
No one saw a car or anybody running away from the scene, but they stayed down until police arrived.
Police aren't sure if anything else was hit or what the motive may have been.
Officers are now looking for whoever fired the shots.
