NORFOLK -- A cold front moved through Friday, accompanied by high winds and hail, causing damage throughout the ABC13 viewing area.
There were several reports of storm damage in Gloucester County; trees were down on Dutton Road, fences were damaged on River Park Road, and a tree fell on a house on Stoke Drive in Hayes.
13News Now viewer Robin Wyatt said she saw significant damage.
"Something sheered off the tops of the pine trees and dropped in my backyard," Wyatt said.
A tree also fell in her neighbor's yard and took out a fence.
Donna Adcock told 13News Now she saw marble-sized hail in the area.
"The wind was so bad a shopping cart corral went across the parking lot at Farm Fresh," Adcock said.
No injuries have been reported.
13News Now Meteorologist Julie Wilcox says conditions are clearing and it is noticeably cooler behind the front that sparked the storms.
"We saw rainfall totals approaching two inches in some spots. Luckily we will have a chance to dry out over the weekend," Wilcox said.
