CHESAPEAKE -- Paramedics took three people to the hospital after the driver of an SUV allegedly ran several motorcyclists off the road in the 2200 block of Fentress Airfield Road.

Police said six people were on four motorcycles just after 6:00 p.m. when the wreck happened.

One of the three people taken to the hospital was flown there with possible life-threatening injuries.

Officers closed Fentress Airfield Road from its 2300 block to Land of Promise Road. They reopened the roadway just before 10:00 p.m.
