NEWPORT NEWS -- One student is being taken to the hospital by her parents following a school bus accident in Newport News Monday morning, authorities told 13News Now.
According to police spokesman Harold Eley, the bus was rear-ended by a woman driving a sedan on Warwick Blvd. around 6:30 a.m.
Eley says two students were on board at the time. One of those students was checked at the scene but was being taken to the hospital by her parents after complaining her head hurt.
The driver of the car said her wrist hurt and was being taken to the hospital by a relative to be checked out.
Police continue to investigate.
