PORTSMOUTH -- With back to school around the corner the rush is on to find a new superintendent for Portsmouth Public Schools.

The school board recently voted to hire a company that will start the search for a new superintendent.

The former superintendent, David Stuckwisch, retired after leading the district for the past 11 years.

The school board chair hopes to have a new superintendent in place by this January.
