WILLIAMSBURG -- A popular Italian restaurant destroyed by fire in July is back in business.
Sal’s by Victor is at temporary location at 1425 Richmond Road in Williamsburg.
The reopening comes just in time for the holidays and for the dozens of people the restaurant employs.
The restaurant’s original location at the Williamsburg Shopping Center burned to ground; several adjacent businesses were damaged.
Regulars couldn't be happier.
"I didn't know it was open until we drove by. We were excited to see it and we drove in," said Denise Jones.
"I was really happy to tell my cousin in Houston that it's reopened," Patty Benesh added.
Victor Minichiello, the owner of the restaurant plans to rebuild at the shopping center, and reopen in about six months.
