NORFOLK--Standard of Learning Tests were disrupted for many elementary school students Thursday afternoon because of an internet server issue.
The incident happened around 1:45 p.m. when a Cox Cable router on the fiber line that serves the schools failed. The service was down for an hour and 50 mins.

Thursday was a testing day for 5th, 8th and 11th-graders. Luckily the middle and high schoolers had already completed their testing by the time of the outage.
But a number of elementary schools experienced Internet connectivity issues while some students were still testing. The schools offered the students additional time Thursday to complete the testing.
