NORFOLK – Five workers were involved in keeping paychecks going to a woman who hadn’t gone to work for the Norfolk Community Services Board for 12 years, according to results of an investigation released Friday.
Executive Director Maureen Womack said two of the five were fired today and three resigned.
Womack said the workers filled out time sheets and benefits for Jill McGlone, who earned about $29,000 a year.
The FBI, Office of the Inspector General, Va. State Police and Norfolk Police are investigating the case.
The Community Services Board is funded by the city, state and government and operates independently, offering mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse services.
Board members are appointed by City Council.
