SUFFOLK - Fire broke out early Monday at the SPSA regional landfill in Suffolk.

Plastic and aluminum materials being recycled caught on fire inside the Bi-Metals Recycling, LLC building at 1 Bob Foeller Drive. Crews were called to the scene around 2:20 a.m.

Heavy equipment was brought in to push the materials outside so the fire could be put out.

The building wasn't damaged.

It's not clear how the fire started.
