PORTSMOUTH -- Police are searching for the person who robbed a Portsmouth fast-food restaurant Sunday morning.
Police say an employee was taking out the trash at the KFC on Chestnut Street around 9:30 a.m. when a man wearing a mask and carrying a gun forced him back into the store and demanded money.
The suspect took cash and ran from the business.
Nobody was injured and there were no customers in the KFC at the time.
The robbery took place across London Boulevard from a Hardee’s where a worker there was shot during a robbery in early November. Police are still looking for that suspect and Hardee’s is offering a 5,000 dollar reward for an arrest.
Anyone with information on either robberies is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
