Chesapeake officer injured
CHESAPEAKE--A police officer was injured during an altercation at a movie theater Friday night in Chesapeake. The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. at the Cinemark Movies at 2413 Chesapeake Square Ring Road.
The officer was working part-time at the time.
The officer was dealing with a disorderly person at the theater when he sustained minor injuries. He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Police say they have one suspect in custody with charges pending.
The investigation into the incident is on-going.
