12/26 UPDATE: 19-year-old Devonta Randall Lewis and 20-year-old Khadijah Sade Mitchell, both of Newport News, were charged December 23 with robbery, use of a firearm and conspiracy.
A 17-year-old boy from Hampton was arrested December 17 on the same charges, said police spokesman Harold Eley.

 

NEWPORT NEWS -- Police said 3 people were involved in a robbery at the Kangaroo gas station located at 683 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard Sunday night.

Police department spokesman Lou Thurston told 13News Now that 2 people wearing masks and dark clothing entered the business at about 8:45 p..m. Both had backpacks; one of them had a shotgun.

The pair demanded money and got it. They joined a third person who stood outside the business as a lookout, then left the area.

No one was hurt.
