UPDATE 8/12: The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Andrew Dominguez, who lived on Rutgers Avenue in Chesapeake.
Anyone with information about the homicide is encouraged to call, text or submit an on-line tip to the Chesapeake Crime Line.

UPDATE 8/11:  Police have identified the victim as a 27-year-old male.  The name will be released after next of kid have been notified.

CHESAPEAKE --  Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place at Crosswinds Apartments Sunday afternoon.

Emergency dispatchers received a call about the shooting around 4 p.m. When officers got to the 1600 block of Weber Avenue, they found a male dead in front of one of the buildings in the complex.

The apartments are located near the intersection of Providence and Sparrow Roads.

Detective Kelly O'Sullivan said the person did not have any identification on him. Police are not sure if he was an adult.
