NORFOLK -- Police are trying to piece together what happened Thursday after a man and woman were killed in their Norfolk home.

Police say both were stabbed in a home in the 1000 block of Bland Street around 4 p.m.

The man and woman died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Thursday night.

Neighbors are shocked by the brutal deaths.

"I would never guess that anything like that would happen," said Mike Coponiti.

Like many of his neighbors, Coponiti says he has no idea what went on behind closed doors.

"You don't know what caused it, what went down, it's really hard to say," he said

Norfolk Police tell 13News Now that they have a person of interest in custody, but no arrests have been made. At this point, they say they are not looking for any other suspects.
