Police in Virginia Beach report spike in auto thefts this month

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police in Virginia Beach say they're seeing a big spike in the number of stolen cars.

Reports of stolen cars have a doubled this June compared to last June. This month 29 cars have been stolen across the city, compared to 16 last year.

Police don't know if these cases are connected but they're warning you to lock your doors, park in safe well lit areas.
