Police: Serial shoplifter hitting Virginia Beach Walmarts

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police say one man has stolen items worth more than $1,200 from Walmarts in Virginia Beach.  

Images of the man in three stores were released Thursday in hopes someone can identify him.

Six times since mid-January, the man has filled a shopping cart with items like steaks, frozen chicken nuggets, frozen fish and laundry detergent and then was able to get out of the store without paying. Police believe he drives a black SUV.

Shoplifting cases:
-January 13: Walmart, 657 Phoenix Drive
-February 15: Walmart, 657 Phoenix Drive
-May 2: Walmart, 2021 Lynnhaven Parkway
-May 9: Walmart, 3201 Holland Road
-May 18: Walmart, 657 Phoenix Drive
-May 26: Walmart, 3201 Holland Road
