Part of Lynnhaven Fishing Pier collapses

VIRGINIA BEACH – Part of the Lynnhaven Fishing Pier has collapsed.
The owner told 13News she’s distraught over the situation and explained that the middle of the 1,400-foot long pier fell into the water.
Fortunately, no one was on the pier at the time.
The pier was the target of Mother Nature’s fury in September 2003, when Hurricane Isabel caused substantial damage to the structure.
It's located at 2350 Starfish Road.
