WILLIAMSBURG -- Four teenagers were arrested Wednesday after a 17-year-old male was allegedly found naked and yelling incoherently in the middle of Lafayette Street in Williamsburg.
According to police, the teen was under the influence of LSD and suffering from hallucinations.
He was taken into custody for his protection and placed in a patrol unit, police said.
Other officers responded to nearby hotel room and arrested 18-year-old Benjamin Thomas Conner Jr. of Michigan. He was allegedly yelling at people and lunged at officers.
Witnesses told police the two males in custody had chased a woman from the hotel.
A third male suspect, 18-year-old Benjamin Bond West of James City County, was taken into custody on the third floor of the hotel. Police say he was also suffering from hallucinations.
A short time later, 19-year-old Abbie Layne Neilson of James City County, returned to the hotel and police say she appeared to under the influence of the same substance. According to police, Neilson said the four teens had all taken LSD.
All four individuals were taken to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital where they were treated.
The three adults were then transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
Neilson is charged with possession of a controlled substance and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
West is charged with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Conner is charged with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and distributing to a person under the age of 18.
Petitions are being sought for the juvenile, who was released to his parents.
