VIRGINIA BEACH -- In the mood for oysters, chicken, BBQ? That and more will be for sale on Sunday to benefit the Va. Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad.

It's the 38th annual Va. Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad Oyster Roast & Beach Party. It's from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Convention Center. Tickets for adults are $50; they're $15 for kids ages 6 to 16 and children younger than that get in free.

It's the largest fundraiser of the year for the Va. Beach Rescue Squad and officials say the money will help them continue to provide free, pre-hospital emergency medical care.   In 2013, VBRS personnel responded to 13,000 9-1-1 calls, they noted.

Check the Va. Beach Rescue Squad Web site for information and tickets.
