VIRGINIA BEACH-More than 4,000 Dominion Power customers in Va. Beach lost power Wednesday morning.

The outage started at 4:37 a.m., originally affecting 4,500 customers in the Lynnhaven area including Lynhaven Middle School and Trantwood Elementary.

People affected by the outage went to the WVEC13 Facebook page.

Dominion Power spokeswoman Bonita Billingsley Harris told WVEC.com that 2,100 customers, including the schools, had powered restored by 5:05 a.m. "We switched them to an alternate feed," she said.

Just before 5:30 a.m., Dominion crews had located the problem and all power was restored at 5:46 a.m.

Rydel added to his post "(power) Just came back, COFFEE!"
