VIRGINIA BEACH - Operation Homefront Hampton Roads is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Baby Shower for Military Mom’s here in the Hampton Roads area on June 4th.

In 2011,  OH served 30 Moms. In 20123, that number reached 85 and this year Operation Homefront hopes to help 200 women who are active duty/spouses of active duty in pay grades E6 and below, female wounded warriors or spouses of wounded warriors (all ranks).

Kimberly-Clark/Huggies is helping sponsor the event that will be held at the Holiday Inn Executive Center on Greenwich Road (off Newtown).

The event last year “blew the Mom’s away,” organizers said.

Mom from all over Hampton Roads received a new car seat along with "baby's first duffel bag," filled with items they'd find useful for their new arrival.

First Lady of Virginia Maureen McDonnell will be there as well.
