NORFOLK -- About 100 Old Dominion University students left Friday afternoon to cheer on the Monarchs in the second round game of the NCAA tournament in New Orleans.

ODU beat Notre Dame Thursday to advance to Saturday's games against third seed Baylor.

Two university-chartered buses are taking students.

Students, wearing Monarch colors, packed pillows and snacks for the 17-hour bus trip to New Orleans.

They say they're proud of their school and are hoping for a victory Saturday.

The game is set to begin at 5:45 p.m.
