NORFOLK-- Police made an arrest Tuseday night in a Wells Fargo robbery that happened Tuesday afternoon.
Police have charged Derrick Hawthorne, 47, of Norfolk with Bank Robbery and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony. He was arrested around 7 p.m. in the 1000 blk of Tidewater.
Police say Hawthorne is the man who walked into the bank at 440 Monticello Ave around 1:54 p.m. and implied he had a weapon.. He took an undisclosed amount of money and left.
There were no injuries.
